“During labor, I gave my mind to my body and had orgasm-like sensations,” the pleasure-seeking mom told Southwest News Service. “It was really natural to push and the contractions didn’t feel that painful. She had this fullness and she didn’t want the feeling to stop.”

After learning that she was pregnant for the second time, Faustino contacted childbirth coach Jannine Markou, 49, whose prenatal yoga classes help women prepare for a pain-free birth.
Markou teaches her clients how to use movement, toning, and breathing exercises, and many moms swear by her techniques that work miracles during the labor process.
“If you allow the hormones of childbirth to work for you, then a woman can enter a state of bliss or ‘work ground,'” the guru declared.
“Then the pain is not as intense because the endorphins are flowing and there is no fear,” he added. “[Endorphins] are said to be 10 times stronger than morphine if you can make it work for you.”
After taking Markou’s class, Faustino went into labor with Kaiya in 2015 while she was home with her husband, Will.
“I was squatting in my room and the lights were dim,” Faustino said, adding that her husband was available to support her.
“I found a breathing rhythm… and it was really natural to push,” she further stated. “The contractions didn’t feel as painful.”
Faustino also revealed that he “visualized” that each contraction was a “wave that brought my baby closer to me.”
“It wasn’t the same as an orgasm, but it was a really profound moment and one I’ll never forget,” he cooed. “It was a blessing.”
After becoming pregnant with her third child in 2018, Faustino rehired Markou to help prepare for her arrival.
During labor, the mom decided to lie on her side with her leg raised, instead of squatting like she did as she welcomed Kaiya.
“She was almost like a dog urinating,” Faustino said of the post. “I accepted the sensations of birth.”
And while he didn’t reach an orgasmic state when he welcomed baby number 3, a boy, Terran, the labor was painless and “beautiful.”
Faustino credits Markou with the positive experience of her second and third jobs.
“A birth always has surprises,” said the mother. “But if you work on your breath and trust, you can achieve a wonderful birth perspective.”
