Hallie Mae Colquhoun, 18, died after a fatal collision on Tuesday near her home in Corby, Northamptonshire, shortly after 5.30pm. The teenage student, who had “big plans” for her dance studio, was driving a black 500 when a white VW Tiguan SE, traveling in the opposite direction, hit her. Her devastated family posted a touching tribute on a GoFundMe page that has been set up “to complement anything that may contribute to Hallie’s farewell, legacy or memory.” Hailie’s mother, Emma Colquhoun, wrote her raw thoughts on the morning of her daughter’s death, which were posted on the fundraising page. She wrote: ‘Last night our world fell apart when our beautiful baby girl was taken from us. “I never thought in a million years I’d be writing something like this and I didn’t want to post it on social media, but as most of you know, Hallie was due to open her dance school next week and we think this is the best way to get the message out to parents and students. ‘I feel like I owe it to Hallie to tell everyone how amazing she is.

Our hearts are completely broken’ Tributes included a story that showed how “special” Hailie was for convincing her parents to register as foster parents, at the age of 14, to take in a girl from a “broken home” and “share her loving home with her.” The GoFundMe page was created on behalf of Hallie’s family to complement anything that may contribute to Hallie’s farewell, legacy or memory. Organizer Kaira Ahmed wrote: “No one deserves to go through this, but this family will never be able to recover.”
