Francisco J. Naval Perez, 24, a footballer has been stabbed to death in Spain in what police believe is a random attack.
Chipiona CF player Francisco J. Naval Pérez, 24, died, and a 20-year-old suspect was arrested. As reported by The Sun, Pérez, known as Paco, died in hospital on Sunday after being stabbed in the chest in Cádiz. According to the Spanish Civil Guard, there was no motive behind the attack and no known links between the two men. The attacker is said to have stabbed Perez without saying anything.

Accused of stabbing footballer arrested
Chipiona CF issued a statement saying: “Well, we have no words, to begin with, this seems like a nightmare, but unfortunately it is real, our player Paco Naval Pérez has left us, he passed away this morning.” The statement added that Paco had been “fighting between life and death” and that “he had his whole life ahead of him.”
Real Madrid also paid tribute to Paco. Their statement said: “Real Madrid CF deeply regrets the death of Paco Naval, a Chipiona CF player, and wishes to express his condolences and affection to all his family, his club, colleagues, and loved ones. RIP.’
