Eugenio Aveleria, a rapist who spotted an unconscious woman laying on the street, carried her into his home and attacked her, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. On June 28, 2021, the woman, who was 23 at the time, was on a work night out in London when she departed alone to return to a place she was living nearby.
When she arrived, she was unable to enter the building and collapsed on the sidewalk outside the location. Eugenio Aveleria, 29, of Ealing, discovered the woman outside the house and originally inquired if she needed assistance, but instead escorted her to his own home on the same road. When he returned home, he took advantage of her and raped her whilst she was in and out of consciousness.

Rapist jailed for attacking woman, he found lying unconscious on the pavement
Aveleria pled guilty on January 3 and was sentenced to 12 years and two months in jail on May 15 at Isleworth Crown Court. According to the court, the victim texted their coworker after the incident, saying that she couldn’t go to work the next day due to a bad experience. She also contacted the Haven Network, a nonprofit for survivors of sexual abuse, for advice on what to do next. An inquiry was quickly initiated, and officers gathered as many facts as they could regarding Aveleria’s appearance and where he lived.
Officers apprehended Aveleria at his home address two days later, on June 30. Detective Constable Kevin Flynn, who lead the investigation, stated, ‘My team worked around the clock to ensure we could locate Aveleria as swiftly as possible, preventing any additional harm to the public.”I would want to recognize the victim, who had amazing courage and strength in coming forward and reporting such a heinous event.’ It is my earnest hope that the victim’s bravery in this instance will encourage all victims of sexual abuse of any kind to speak to authorities. We will listen to you and help you throughout the process.’
