Emadh Miah, 18, was found guilty of murdering Ghulam Sadiq outside his home in Leytonstone, east London, at the Old Bailey.

Emadh Miah found guilty of killing Ghulam Sadiq in Leytonstone
Miah had arrived in Leytonstone on a rented bicycle, his face hidden beneath the hood of a padded jacket and a surgical mask, and a zombie-style machete down his trousers. According to the Old Bailey, he went to Cotton Close, where the victim lived, and waited. When Miah caught up with Mr. Sadiq, who was cycling away, he stabbed him in the back before putting the knife inside his trousers and cycling away. During the trial, the judge thanked the jurors for having to watch “distressing” footage of Mr. Sadiq’s death. Miah was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at a later date. He is also scheduled to be sentenced for a separate hammer attack on a 16-year-old boy.
