El Chapito Wiki – Bio
El Chapito, 14, has been arrested for the drug-related murder of eight people near Mexico City. The federal Ministry of Public Security said the boy, whose name has not been identified, allegedly got on a motorcycle and opened fire on a family in Chimalhuacan, a low-income suburb of Mexico City. The boy’s nickname “Little Chapo” is an apparent reference to jailed drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. Another man was also arrested in the January 22 murders and seven other gang members was arrested on drug charges.
The victims were having a party at their home at the time of the attack, which also left five adults and two children injured. It was reported that it was a birthday party. The motive for the killings has not been made public, but drug gangs in Mexico frequently dabble in kidnapping and murder-for-hire. They also kill rivals who sell drugs on their territory or people who steal money from them. However, it is not the first time that Mexico has had to deal with child murderers who turn to crime.

Investigation Report, Arrested
The arrest of the 14-year-old boy comes after police in Mexico arrested one of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán’s sons in January. Defense Secretary Luis Cresencio confirmed that the son of ‘El Chapo’, Ovidio Guzmán López, 32, was captured by Mexican military and National Guard forces in the northwestern city of Culiacán. He was flown to Mexico City by helicopter because authorities feared that if he traveled by car, the drug trafficker’s hitmen would try to raid the vehicle. The United States has called on Mexico to extradite the son of the infamous drug lord so he can stand trial after he was accused of leading his father’s infamous Sinaloa drug cartel along with his brother. He is also accused of ordering the murder of a singer who refused to perform at his wedding.
