Drexyll Tolstoy, a tattoo artist from New York City who was reported missing, has been found dead. Only a few steps away from where he was last seen six months ago, his decaying body was located. According to The New York Daily News and WestSideRag.com, Tolstoy’s remains were discovered behind a building at 39 W 32nd St in New York City. The corpse was discovered “with injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position,” according to a New York Police Department (NYPD) spokesperson.

Kellie Tolstoy, Drexyll’s mother, said the 17-story business building featured a dedicated tattoo parlor where her son worked before his death. On Saturday, April 9, she told the Daily News, “How was he found right there? “He was there the entire time,” she told the New York Daily News on Saturday. “He’s been there for six months,” she said. Drexyll was last seen on September 25 near West 106th Street and Columbus Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, according to CW affiliate WPIX.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, Drexyll was dealing with relationship troubles and despair, according to his mother Kellie. He had also changed the medication he was taking for his mood. During a phone chat on September 25, Drexyll told her that he ‘couldn’t go back’ to the Upper West Side apartment he shared with Gonzalez. “It shouldn’t take six months to find someone hundreds of feet from where they went missing,” Kellie said in an update to the family’s GoFundMe campaign to find the missing 27-year-old.
