Dr. John Forsyth, a Missouri ER doctor and father of eight, was found dead Tuesday after going missing last week after texting his new fiancée that he’d see her in “a little bit.”
Dr. John Forsyth, 49, went missing on May 21 after failing to show up for his 7 p.m. shift at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Missouri, a community of roughly 3,000 people deep in the Ozarks. His body was discovered Tuesday in northwest Arkansas, according to his brother Richard Forsyth.
“We’re stunned. “I suspect foul play,” Richard said, adding that he expects additional information from a detective on Wednesday. “Even if his eyeballs were hanging out of their sockets, he wouldn’t miss a shift.” “He’s extremely punctual,” Richard told Fox News Digital. “It was an immediate red flag,” Richard stated that Forsyth has worked at the same hospital for 15 years and has never missed a day of work or been late.

Missouri ER doctor who vanished 3 days after proposing to fiancée found dead
Cassville Police Det. Stuart Lombard told Fox News Digital that the last person to hear from Forsyth, who co-founded a cryptocurrency with his brother, could have been his fiancée. He texted her at 7 a.m., saying his shift was ended and he’d see her “a little bit later.” Then he abruptly stopped answering, according to Lombard.
The doctor was seen on video walking to his fancy RV, which he kept in the hospital parking lot during his shifts. Police discovered Forsyth’s Infiniti in a yard about 700 feet from the Cassville Aquatic Center entrance. Richard Forsyth stated that John Forsyth’s passport, wallet, two phones, RV, and car keys were still inside the Infiniti. When Forsyth left, he also left the RV unlocked, with his laptop and two extra smartphones, which Richard described as “very uncharacteristic.”
Lombard stated that police performed a canine and ground search of the 90-acre park around the recreation facility with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and other agencies but found nothing. Richard claimed that his brother got engaged three days before he vanished and just days after completing his divorce from his first wife. Richard said that an uncontested divorce settlement was announced on May 11 that granted his ex-wife around $19,000 per month in alimony and child support.
