Dr Alberto Fioletti, 31, is accused of fatally stabbing Stephanie Hodgkinson, 34, at her Rosemount Road ground floor flat.
The veterinary nurse died after being stabbed in the chest at her home on a quiet cul-de-sac just minutes from Alum Chine Beach. After being called to the scene by ambulance services, police discovered the 34-year-old woman deceased in her house at 12:19 p.m. on May 12.
Fioletti, 31, was arrested on suspicion of murder and sent to the hospital for serious injuries acquired during the same event. After being released from the hospital, the vet was charged with Mrs Hodgkinson’s murder. Fioletti, of West Street in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, appeared in Poole Magistrates’ Court today by video link. During a brief hearing, he only spoke to confirm his identity and address. The vet has been remanded in custody and will appear in court tomorrow at Winchester Crown Court.

Following Mrs. Hodgkinson’s death, which stunned the local community, floral tributes, and candles were left outside the residence. According to neighbors, she was estranged from her husband and had been living in the flat with her children for nearly five years. In Ringwood, Hampshire, she worked as a veterinary nurse at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists. We are startled and profoundly saddened by this news, and our thoughts and sincerest condolences are with Stephanie’s family at this unfortunate time,’ said a representative for the veterinary office.

We will continue to do everything we can to help them.’
