Police believe Radulovic had low-level ties to organized crime. He was paroled in April after serving nine of a 16-month jail sentence for supplying drugs. He was also found guilty of possession of a prohibited weapon without a permit and possession of ammunition, and was sentenced to a community correctional order that was still in effect when he died. Detective Chief Inspector Grant Watson of Leichhardt Command said on Sunday that police are investigating connections to organized crime.”The two men who were involved in this incident describe themselves as Maori or Pacific Islanders,” he said. “They were seen running from a burning vehicle and then got into another vehicle which was a light-colored Toyota Hilux.” Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Leichhardt Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
