Deana Eckert, the fifth victim died after being shot and wounded by a former coworker at a Louisville bank. According to Louisville police, Deana Eckert, 57, died in the hospital more than 12 hours after the 25-year-old gunman, Connor Sturgeon, shot up Old National Bank. According to LinkedIn, Eckert was an executive administrative officer at the bank where she had worked for the previous six years. Police identified the four additional fatalities as Tommy Elliott, 63, Jim Tutt, 64, Joshua Barrick, 40, and Juliana Farmer, 45. All four worked at the bank, which was closed when Sturgeon stormed in and started fire in a conference room around 8:30 a.m.

Tutt was a market executive, Barrick was a senior vice president, and Farmer worked in commercial lending. “Tommy Elliot helped me build my legal career, helped me become governor, and advised me on how to be a good father,” Beshear added. “These are irreplaceable, amazing people who were taken from us all by a terrible act of violence. “In addition to the five people killed, the gunfire injured eight others, including two police officers.
