A man, 53, and a woman, 44, have been arrested in Nottingham on suspicion of murdering Davices Anderson, 22.
At 07:50 BST on Friday, police were called to the stabbing on High Cross Leys, near the intersection of Huntingdon Street and Woodborough Road. Davices Anderson was treated at the site by paramedics and transferred to the hospital, but he died later.
On suspicion of helping an offender, police arrested two men, ages 49 and 39, and two women, ages 44 and 33. Officers from Nottinghamshire Police said they had been given additional time to question two more people arrested in connection with the inquiry.

Six additional people have been detained in connection with a stabbing death
On Friday, a 60-year-old man was detained on suspicion of murder, and on Saturday, a 50-year-old guy was arrested on suspicion of supporting an offender. We made additional arrests over the weekend, bringing the total number of people we currently have in custody to eight,” Det Insp Clare Gibson said.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed or has information about what happened but hasn’t yet come forward to please contact us as soon as possible.”
