The ex-husband of the author and influencer Rachel Hollis and former president of worldwide distribution for Disney, Dave, passed away on Saturday, February 11 at the age of 47 at his home in Austin, Texas. Although the exact cause of death for him was not revealed, Dave had previously been hospitalized for heart problems. On Tuesday, February 14, Dave’s ex-wife, Rachel Hollis, stated: “We are devastated. I am at a loss for words and my heart is too broken to find them. Please wrap the children in prayers as we try to navigate through the unthinkable.” in an Instagram post.

Rachel also took to Instagram to announce that the couple has decided to end their marriage, writing: “Guys I have some tough news to share and the honest truth is I have no idea how anyone announces something like this so I’m just going to say it. Dave and I have made the incredibly difficult decision to end our marriage.”
