Daria Trepova, 26, – Russian investigators have detained a woman searching for the murderers of pro-war blogger Vladlen Tatarsky in an explosion at a cafe in St Petersburg.
The Investigative Committee of Russia said that 26-year-old Daria Trepova was detained after Vladlen Tatarsky was killed in an explosion while giving a speech in a cafe on Sunday. Authorities reported that about 30 people were injured in the explosion and 10 people were in serious condition. According to reports in the Russian media, the bomb was hidden in a bust of a blogger that the suspect had given him as a gift just before the explosion.
The 40-year-old Tatarsky, whose real name is Maxim Fomin, has more than 560,000 followers on Telegram. He was one of the most prominent and influential military bloggers, commenting consistently on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Tatarsky was killed while leading the debate in a cafe on the banks of the Neva River in the historic center of Saint Petersburg. In the comments recorded on the video, a witness said that a woman who introduced herself as Nastya asked questions and exchanged comments with Tatarsky at the event.

Witness Alisa Smotrova said that Nastya had made a bust of the blogger, but that the guards suspected it might be a bomb and asked her to leave her at the door. Nastya and Tatarsky joked and laughed.
