Danielle Pamula and Jennifer Pamula, a pair of twin sisters are accused of murdering their father, who was found slain in their Rhode Island home. According to court records cited by WPRI-12, 38-year-old Danielle Pamula claimed she woke up from a nap on January 30 to see her father, 70-year-old Joseph Pamula, and her identical twin sister, Jennifer Pamula, lying on the floor of their Woonsocket, Rhode Island, home. According to WPRI-12, Danielle claimed that Jennifer and Joseph were fighting before her nap about “selling the house and getting rid of 12 cats.”

Charged with first-degree domestic murder
Jennifer was unresponsive and had pills close to her body, while Joseph had garden shears protruding from his neck. According to the publication, citing court records, Jennifer allegedly said “I had to do it” when police arrived on the scene. She was later charged with first-degree domestic murder after being taken to the hospital. Danielle eventually acknowledged to taking part in the murder of their father after her sister was arrested, according to authorities, WPRI-12 reports. According to Jessica Villella, Special Assistant Attorney General, “Danielle finally admitted to police they had both taken part in the killing of her father when confronted about matching injuries on her hand as well as her and her twin sisters’ hand — they both had injuries in this incident,” WJAR-10 reports.
On Friday, Danielle was charged with murder on one count. According to WPRI-12, Joseph also had blunt force damage in addition to the garden shears injury. Authorities in Woonsocket acknowledged that they had previously responded to the Pamula home for minor issues. According to Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Oates to WPRI-12, “there were a number of minor confrontations between them…disagreements over family concerns.” Nonetheless, none of those problems became serious enough for someone to be attacked or behave violently. Online jail records show that both Danielle and Jennifer are being held without bail. It is unknown if they have hired counsel or entered pleas.
