The sheriff’s office confirmed that Daniel P Watson, 28, of the City of Pell, has been charged with capital murder and murder with a weapon in connection with the murders in St Clair County. Although the suspect is being held in Birmingham, he has not yet been charged with the two murders there. Four people were reportedly shot to death overnight in Birmingham and St Clair County, after which a suspect turned himself in and alerted police.
Police say, Daniel P. Watson, 28, of Pell City, was arrested in connection with the slayings in St. Clair County. Deputies responded to a call at 1 Ivy Drive around 12:01 a.m. m. of March 14. Police found a woman identified as Amber L. Manning, 37, dead in the driveway from gunshot wounds. A man identified as Timothy R. Davidson, 62, was found in the home with a gunshot wound. He was taken by LifeSaver to the UAB Hospital where he died.

Daniel P Watson Arrested for Shooting 4 People Overnight in Birmingham
Watson is being booked into the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville on one count of capital murder and one count of murder with a weapon in the Ragland deaths. According to police, Watson is also in custody for two homicides in Birmingham last night. Birmingham Police Department Officer Truman Fitzgerald said that around 6 a.m. the 911 communications division received information from the Leeds Police Department that a man had approached a Leeds police officer saying that he had shot two people in Birmingham. The man was able to give a general area as well as a description of the house.

Just after 8 a.m., officers with the East Precinct were able to discover a home in the 8400 block of 8th Avenue South where they believe the victims were. Upon entering the house, they found a man and a woman shot dead. The names of the victims of the Birmingham homicide have not yet been released. This investigation is ongoing and more information will be added to this story as we learn more.
