Dan Fowlie, a very popular rodeo announcer who had been a part of the sport for a long time, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2023. Dan Fowlie was a famous rodeo announcer for the PRCA. Born in Arizona, Dan became interested in the sport at a very young age when his mother took him to see the 1968 Phoenix Jaycee Rodeo. Later, he was admitted to Eastern Arizona College, where he furthered his career in him. In college, he competed as a rodeo contestant at Eastern Arizona University while studying Agricultural Marketing. He won 4 of 6 events for the institution. He continued to participate in local and regional events and made a career out of it.
Once he was unable to compete, Dan Fowlie became a rodeo announcer. He called some of the biggest tournaments in the sport, including the Ram Turquoise Circuit Finals in Las Cruces, Santa Fe Rodeo PRCA rodeo, Hellzapoppin PRCA Rodeo, Wayne Wilson Memorial PRCA Rodeo at Cave Creek, Annual Sonoita Rodeo, Gilbert Days IPRA Rodeo, Queen Creek WPRA and others.
