According to Sky News, they were stopped and photographed at a police roadblock. When Portuguese police called Brueckner an arguido – a formal suspect – on April 21, last year, it was the first time an official suspect had been recognized since 2007. The Peggy Knobloch case has also been linked to Brueckner after his disappearance in May 2001.
