Christen Allen Wright, 38, a Phoenix resident awaiting extradition, faces a felony warrant issued for his arrest in Maricopa County, Arizona. The 38-year-old man has been charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, sexual abuse of a child, and sexual misconduct with a minor, all Class 2 felonies. Wright, who is currently in the Wright County Jail Clark in Indiana, allegedly tried to trick his family into believing he had died with the help of an acquaintance who posed as a nurse and helped pronounce him dead, Law and Crime reported.
In a statement explaining Wright’s plans to flee the country, Clark County deputies wrote: “Arizona authorities transmitted information to our agency that Mr. Wright had attempted to mislead investigators into believing that he had died at the drive to a local hospital in Arizona and have an acquaintance”. he called his family and told them that he had passed away and that they needed to pick up his personal property from the hospital. The acquaintance posed as a nurse and dressed in a gown to fool family members when they collected his personal property. This act of deception assisted Mr. Wright in fleeing Arizona.”

Jeffersonville police and Clark County deputies worked closely with officers in El Mirage, Arizona, to investigate the whereabouts of the alleged child molester. Investigators claimed they received information that Wright was in the area and said they found him at a home in Sellensburg, Indiana. Mark Grube, deputy chief of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, said: “I’ve been doing this for 18 years. It’s new to me, especially for this reason, and it kind of worked for him.
