Cesar Olalde was arrested after a confrontation with police Tuesday in suburban Texarkana and charged with capital murder of multiple persons, punishable by death or life in prison without parole. Police in the city of Nash, population about 3,800, went to Olalde’s home after receiving a report that a man had harmed his family and was threatening to commit suicide. Neighbor Robert Ward described the victims to KTBS as a “beautiful family” made up of “extremely nice” and “hard-working” people. He said the daughter had recently graduated from college and was planning to become a teacher, and that Cesar was “a good guy. He was going to enter an apprenticeship program to be a plumber.” Jeremiah Reynolds, Lisbet’s fiancé and fellow Texas A&M University-Texarkana grad, posted a heartbreaking message on his Facebook page Wednesday, declaring: “I will love you to infinity and beyond. my love.”
