Cennet Akgun, 25, a young woman who died in the passenger seat of a black sedan after its driver allegedly crashed into a parked truck, has been remembered as someone who brought joy to all.

Cennet Akgun, aka Jenney, was in the Nissan Skyline around 11:40 p.m. m. on Friday when the driver, 24-year-old Ahmed Khazma, allegedly crashed into the truck on Broadhurst Road in Ingleburn, western Sydney. Emergency services rushed to the intersection and treated Mr Khazma for minor injuries, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory tests. Ms. Akgun, who was working as a personal assistant at a nearby mechanic, died at the scene. Hours after the tragedy, her loved ones and colleagues flooded social media with tributes, with a friend saying she had just returned from a vacation in New Zealand. ‘No way, I just talked to her the other day! She has just returned from a holiday in New Zealand,’ they wrote on a local Facebook group. ‘May she rest in peace. This is terrible news. I feel sick to my stomach.

On Saturday afternoon, his boss at Just Engine Management wrote on Facebook: “It is with a heavy heart and teary eyes that I write this.” Jennoo was our sister, our mother, our best friend. She took care of us like her own family. ‘She wasn’t just a worker, she kept us in line and motivated, her enthusiasm kept us going, she was a driving force.’ She said that she was “full of brilliant ideas and suggestions” and made the mechanic a “brighter place”. She brought joy to everyone, making us laugh, and she was the best listener, always giving good advice when we were feeling down.” “Jennoo, we love and miss you, we will never forget you and we will always pray for you.”

Someone else said that she was “one of the best people I’ve ever met,” while a third said, “I’ll never forget your beautiful soul.” “You have definitely made an impact on all of us, just a great friend and a good person, no one will ever replace you, I just wish I had a few more funny laughs,” they added. Mr Khazma was under police surveillance at the hospital before being released and taken to Campbelltown Police Station on Saturday afternoon. He was charged with dangerous driving resulting in death: dangerous driving, reckless driving (resulting in death), and driving while a license application was refused. Mr. Khazma has been denied bail and will appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
