In a fight, Cecilia Ann Lee, 20, is accused of hitting her grandmother with a picture frame, putting her in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Louisiana.
Police claim that an 85-year-old grandmother was beaten with a back scratcher and a picture frame by her granddaughter, who is now in critical condition. According to a news briefing from the police, the “elderly” woman was “suffering from multiple injuries” when the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana was summoned to a residence. The announcement stated that “detectives discovered that foul play was the cause of the injuries during the investigation.”
Authorities found evidence of a physical altercation between the grandmother’s granddaughter, 20-year-old Cecilia Ann Lee, and another person on April 4, the night of the attack.

Arrested, Investigation
According to police, during the incident, “the suspect struck the victim multiple times with a heavy-duty wooden back scratcher and picture frame in her head, torso, arms, and hands,” adding that “the suspect then vandalized the home and damaged the victim’s phone to prevent her from calling first responders. Later, the suspect passed out on a couch inside the victim’s home. When law enforcement and emergency personnel arrived at the house, they hurried the grandma to a nearby hospital. She was stable but in critical condition in the ICU at the time of the release.
According to the sheriff’s office, Lee was detained and charged with one crime of attempted first-degree murder, one count of aggravated second-degree violence of the elderly, one offense of cruelty to the elderly, one count of false detention, and one count of criminal damage to property. The amount of her bond is $1,067,500. It’s unclear whether Lee has a lawyer who can speak for her. The victim’s identity remains a secret.
