Cameron Hamilton, 18, was found with fatal stab wounds in Bournemouth town center in the early hours of Saturday.
Four men, all 18 years old, were arrested on suspicion of murder and two have now been released without charge. In a statement issued by Dorset police, Hamilton’s relatives said he was “so loved” and asked for privacy during “this devastating time”. They added: “We have not lost our beautiful child, he has been taken away. “We don’t want this to be what Cam is remembered for, we want him to be remembered for the fun, kind, wonderful person that he is and always will be. “We would also like to thank all the police officers who came to the scene and were with Cam and everyone who sent their condolences and wishes to the family.”

Police said the two released 18-year-olds remained under investigation for a brawl. Two other 18-year-olds, both from Portsmouth, continued to be questioned by officers on suspicion of murder. Dorset police said a dispersal order for the city center had been extended by another 48 hours, giving officers more power to arrest people for anti-social behavior. He also said that high-visibility patrols would continue in the area. A large cordon has been erected which stretched from Bournemouth Square to the Lower Gardens entrance on the Pier Approach. The force said it had 28 officers on foot patrol in the city center at the time of the teen’s death and that they were on the scene “almost immediately.” Detectives believe that several people fled the scene and discarded various items, including clothing, after the incident. Det Insp Neil Third said: “We are continuing to carry out full investigations and I again urge any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to contact us.”
