Police were called to the building on Duncans Rd in Werribee on Thursday at 10.30pm. and found Cain Cameron, 36, fighting for his life. The agents provided first aid until paramedics arrived, but he died at the scene. Police say Cameron was wanted for an aggravated carjacking in Hoppers Crossing last weekend. It is understood Cameron was the driver of a van that sped away from police in Werribee an hour before he was found at the base of the building. The van had previously been seen entering the underground car park of a hotel building on Duncans Rd by AirWing.

Investigation Report
Police are investigating a link between the van and the car theft, which occurred last Sunday. Meanwhile, horrified staff at a cafe at the base of the building, which was open at the time Cameron fell, called for help. They have since told 7NEWS they were left shaken after the incident. “It’s terrible for my staff who had to witness it firsthand,” one worker told 7NEWS. Cameron’s friends have since paid tribute, describing him as a “good guy and family man”. “He was always trying to help people, we all have our good and bad sides but this is just horrible, no one deserves this,” a friend said. Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the incident with the Professional Standards Command, which is standard practice when a person dies in the presence of police.
