Brianna Ghey, a 16-year-old British transgender Tiktoker, was found stabbed to death in a village park in broad daylight on Saturday, prompting the arrest of two teenagers.
Brianna, who had thousands of followers on the social media platform, was discovered by passersby suffering multiple stab wounds at Linear Park in Warrington, Cheshire, around 3 pm. local time, BBC News reported. Police detectives said they found no evidence that Ghey’s murder was a hate crime related to the fact that she was a transgender girl.

Two 15-year-old suspects accused of murder arrested
The investigation has led to the arrest of a boy and a girl, both aged 15, who face murder charges. Police said the suspects, who have not been identified, are from the Warrington area. They are currently in custody. Detective Chief Superintendent Mike Evans said Ghey’s murder was believed to be a “targeted attack” but police were still trying to determine what led to it.
“At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the circumstances surrounding Brianna’s death are hate related,” he said. Patrols in the local area have been intensified and officers will remain in the Culcheth area to provide reassurance and address any concerns residents may have.”
Evans called on anyone with information on this case, “no matter how big or small,” to come forward. We are also interested in having people and businesses within the local community check CCTV or dashcam footage for anything that might help our investigation,” he added. In a statement issued to the media, Ghey’s family members said her untimely death has left a “huge hole” in her lives.

Brianna was beautiful, witty, and hilarious. Brianna was strong, fearless, and unique.” Emma Mills, principal at Birchwood Community High School, where Ghey studied: “We are shocked and truly devastated to learn of Brianna’s death.”
