Brian Rapley, 49, arrived at the TV star’s door with a red rose in April, saying he believed she was in a relationship with Monk after being “fished out”. He showed up and stayed at her Central Coast home hoping to meet her in person after exchanging endearing messages online. Rapley claims that a scammer posing as the host of Love Island sent her romantic text messages and direct messages for four months before scamming her out of $7,000. On Thursday morning he was arrested after he allegedly turned up at Monk’s manager’s office in Surry Hills, Sydney earlier this week.

Man allegedly breached AVO, showed up at Sophie Monk’s work
He was denied bail at Penrith Local Court, charged with breaching a detained personal violence order, which stated that he could not come within 500 meters of Monk or attempt to make contact with her. The court heard that Rapley allegedly entered the city center office building after announcing “Sophie” on an intercom, the Daily Telegraph reported. The footage shows a man dressed in dark clothing entering the building before going up the stairs to the office where Monk usually works. Staff members then called police after recognizing the man. Police prosecutor Shin Wahr told the court that Rapley continues to pose a risk to Monk and that he should not be released on bail. “The defendant has received an AVO which has quite strict conditions in place for the protection of the victim, in which he must not attend any place where she works and this is exactly what he has done,” Mr Wahr told the court. The father-of-two will remain in custody until he appears at Downing Center Local Court on September 14.
