Brett Andrew Button, the man behind the wheel of a bus that killed 10 wedding guests when it crashed in the Hunter Valley has received more than 40 additional charges.
Ten people were killed and 25 injured when the bus crashed in Greta, NSW, while carrying guests from a wedding in Lovedale to Singleton on June 11.The bus driver, Brett Andrew Button, 58, was charged with 10 counts, each of dangerous driving resulting in death and reckless driving resulting in death. He was granted strict probation for all 20 charges.Button received an additional 43 charges on Thursday and now faces 63 in total. The new charges include dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm, negligent driving causing serious bodily harm and bodily harm for misconduct.The new offenses include nine counts of dangerous and careless driving causing serious bodily harm.There were also an additional 25 new charges of causing bodily harm by misconduct, according to the reports.Button was given a suspended bond at Cessnock Local Court earlier this year.

Hunter Valley bus crash driver slapped with 52 additional charges
The 58-year-old man was driving the bus carrying guests at the wedding of Mitchell Gaffney and Maddy Edsell at the Wandin Estate winery.Police allege Button was going too fast when he entered a roundabout and rolled near the Hunter Expressway in Greta, in the Hunter region of New South Wales.Kane Symons, Angus Craig, Rebecca Mullen, Darcy Bulman, Nadene and Kyah McBride, Andrew and Lynan Scott, Tori Cowburn, and Zachary Bray were all killed. His next appearance is scheduled at Newcastle Local Court on August 9.A Button neighbor told Daily Mail Australia that he has worked as a bus driver for around six years and that he had previously worked at a Mazda showroom in nearby Maitland.Another neighbour, Sarat Babu Perala, described the 58-year-old as a “nice guy who was always friendly”.Perala said Button could regularly be seen tinkering with his cars, mowing the lawn and doing chores around the house.The accident in Greta is believed to be one of the worst multi-fatal road traffic accidents in nearly 30 years.
