Bolanle Fadairo, 38, has been charged with the murder of Michael Essien and his two-year-old son, Micah, in Houston, Texas, on September 20.
Fadairo has also been accused of manipulating/fabricating physical evidence to delete a text message, knowing an investigation was underway, according to court documents.

Essien, 38, got into an argument with Bolanle Fadairo, before he was shot to death in front of his young son, and the gunman fled in the victim’s truck.
Micah was still in the back seat and was found hours later by officers who believe he died as a result of heat exhaustion, with outside temperatures reaching 93F.
Fadairo is understood to have deleted messages between himself and Essien before he was arrested.
Essien’s wife reported her husband and son missing around 6:40 p.m. m., hours after Fadairo shot him multiple times at 1:45 p.m. m. in The King’s Way.
After a search, police found the car missing more than 10 miles from the scene of the shooting and saw that the boy was locked inside.
Officers broke the windows and began performing CPR on the boy, then called an ambulance.
Cops swarmed Fadairo’s apartment in the early hours of Wednesday morning and have now charged him with two counts of murder and tampering with evidence.
