General Hospital star Billy Miller has died at the age of 43, after a struggle with “manic depression.” The soap opera actor and three-time Daytime Emmy winner, who also starred on The Young and the Restless, died Friday in Austin, Texas, according to soap journalist Michael Fairman. The cause of death has not yet been revealed, although the actor’s representatives stated that he was battling “manic depression” at the time of his death, according to TMZ. He graduated with a degree in communications from the University of Texas before moving to Los Angeles. Actress Octavia Spencer, who co-starred with Billy in the television series Truth Be Told, shared a tribute to the actor on Instagram. ‘I am speechless. I’m lying here scrolling through IG and I came across a post that said we lost Billy Miller. To his family, his legions of fans and our #TruthBeTold family my deepest condolences,” she wrote under a photo of the actor. “I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Billy Miller. I loved seeing him in all my young children and in the hospital general and restless. May he rest in peace,” another person wrote on Twitter. “A real loss for the genre, very sad,” another fan added.
