Aurman Singh was 23 years old.

Aurman’s devastated family released a statement saying: “There are no words that can explain the impact this tragedy has had on me and my family.” ‘Today a mother will grow old without her son. A sister will grow up without her brother. We do not want what has happened to us to happen to another family. “We would like to thank the police for diligently carrying out their investigation and supporting us at this difficult time.” Witnesses told MailOnline that the vehicles had been waiting for the victim for two hours. A Berwick Avenue resident said he saw an Audi parked suspiciously outside his home around 11 a.m. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “I go to see my elderly neighbor every day just to give him a helping hand and a bit of company.” ‘When I was leaving yesterday morning I saw an Audi parked in front of my house, which seemed a bit strange to me. “I couldn’t look out the window to see if there were people inside, so I didn’t think about it and went on with my neighbors. ‘I did his gardening and weeded the driveway a bit and when I got home at 1pm, he was still there. The next thing I knew, there were cops down the street. I must have missed what happened. “It had been there for at least two hours, which begs the question: how did they know the delivery guy was going there?

Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “It’s a scary thing that happens here. ‘The poor boy was attacked while he was doing his job, no one deserves that. Yesterday I was shaking all day, you can’t believe it. ‘The police have been knocking on people’s doors. “We believe the van was followed by another car and attacked when they stopped to make a delivery.” The lead investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Bellamy, said: “Our thoughts are very much with Aurman’s family and friends at this difficult time. ‘Our investigation is ongoing and officers are conducting a series of inquiries to establish the circumstances leading up to Aurman’s murder. “We know that Aurman was a delivery man, but at this time we do not believe that this was the reason for his death and we are not investigating this as a robbery. “We believe those involved know each other and are not local to Shrewsbury or the West Mercia police area in general. “So far we have arrested five people in connection with the murder and are advancing all other lines of investigation to locate and arrest the leading suspects.” Anyone with information, including CCTV footage, doorbells or dash cams, should contact police on 101 quoting log 192_I_21082023.
