Arik Gilbert was arrested for the second time in three weeks, this time in Georgia, accused of robbery and obstructing officers.
According to Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office arrest records, the 21-year-old was taken into custody Friday. It is the second time in three weeks that Gilbert has been arrested. He was jailed on August 29 in Lincoln, NE. on suspicion of theft after police received a report of a shoplifting. Security video has since been released showing a suspect, believed to be Gilbert, attempting to force his way into SJ’s Liquor and Vape Shop. Police responded shortly before 2 a.m. on August 29 and found a broken glass door with large pieces of concrete from the parking lot. They saw Gilbert walking towards the exit carrying a bag. That bag contained stolen vaping products, Delta 8, cigarettes and lighters with a total value of $1,672.07, and damage to the business was estimated at $650, police said.

Faces burglary charge in Georgia
Gilbert, a sophomore from Marietta, Georgia, was a five-star recruit who was the top-ranked tight end prospect and the 2019 Gatorade National Player of the Year.
