Amine Benchoula Wiki- Amine Benchoula Biography
Amine Benchoula, 35, was exploring St James’s in central London in search of wealthy targets when he saw a family walking towards their car. While the father was distracted preparing to load his son into the vehicle, Benchoula ran behind him, grabbed his wrist and began pulling on the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar watch. In the struggle, Ella Benchoula knocked the baby out of the stroller and caused him to fall to the pavement before snatching the watch and fleeing in the direction of Pall Mall. The boy, who was just days away from turning one, suffered minor injuries in the June 24 attack. Detectives said it was fortunate the baby did not suffer more serious injuries.
Amine Benchoula was 35 years old.
Police launched a search for the thief after the shocking incident was captured on CCTV. Benchoula was later discovered by officers on Edgware Road on July 9. He was dressed in the same sweatpants, sneakers and baseball cap that he was wearing when he committed the robbery. Ella benchoula admitted robbery and assault and was sentenced to four years in prison at Southwark Crown Court this week. Detective Sergeant Daniel Northcott, who led the investigation, said: “This was a terrible robbery which would have had a detrimental impact on the victim and her family.” “The fact that Benchoula showed no regard for the welfare of the victim’s baby while she committed such a heinous act was of deep concern to me and my team, and we worked hard to ensure that the search for the suspect was intensified. “Unfortunately, the stolen watch has not been recovered.”
