Irate over free cookies waved loaded gun at McDonald’s employee
A McDonald’s employee told police Hendricks was angry that no one asked if she was using the fast food restaurant’s rewards program and thought she was entitled to a free cookie.
When the clerk got to the pickup window, Hendricks was allegedly yelling. She was reportedly given a free cookie, but she continued to argue with the clerk, the report says.
The worker told officers that Hendricks then grabbed a black handgun, inserted a magazine, and proceeded to attach the slide. The clerk said she heard two clicks “associated with someone loading a round.”
Hendricks then allegedly parked her car in front of the McDonald’s and tried to open the front door, which the employees had already locked because they feared for her life. The report says Hendricks forced himself into the restaurant before punching one of the employees multiple times and forcing him out of the building.
The employee was found by police with multiple scratches on his face and neck. Hendricks allegedly refused to listen to the officers’ verbal commands, resulting in a resisting arrest charge.
