Alfie Darby was struck by a Jeep Cherokee on Anzac Avenue in Collaroy, on Sydney’s northern beaches, on Sunday afternoon. It has since been revealed that the boy was watching his older brother play a rugby match moments before his death. Witnesses rushed to little Alfie’s aid and performed CPR on the baby, as well as using a defibrillator. Paramedics arrived at the scene a short time later before he was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital. He died later that night.
