Alaa Qissaya, a Palestinian man was shot and killed in the occupied West Bank on Friday after sneaking into a Jewish settlement and attempting to knife a resident, according to the Israeli army.
According to the military, the individual attempted to knife a resident of the Tene Omarim village before being shot by an armed citizen. According to the report, the incident triggered an alarm, and soldiers began canvassing the area. The Palestinian Ministry of Health verified the death and identified the victim as Alaa Qissaya, 28.
The site’s security camera footage shows a Palestinian male slipping in under a gate and coming into the settlement while wielding a knife. The claimed stabbing attempt or the man getting stabbed is not shown in the footage. The community lies near Hebron, a hotspot city in the southern West Bank where Palestinian citizens and Jewish settlers frequently clash.

Palestinians want these lands for a future state. Around 700,000 Israelis now live in West Bank and East Jerusalem settlements. The majority of the international world believes these settlements to be unlawful and a barrier to peace.
