Abigail Jo Shry Wiki – Abigail Jo Shry Biography
Abigail Jo Shry, 43, a Texas woman and supporter of Donald Trump, has been charged with threatening to kill the federal judge overseeing a criminal case against the former president, as well as a member of Congress.
Abigail Jo Shry of Alvin, Texas, allegedly called the federal courthouse in Washington and left a threatening message, using a racist term to refer to US District Judge Tanya Chutkan, on Aug. 5, court records show. “Hey you stupid black slave,” she began the message, which she left in the judge’s chamber at 7:50 p.m., according to Department of Homeland Security officials. Investigators traced her phone number and she later admitted to making the threatening call, according to a criminal complaint. In the call, Shry told the judge, who is overseeing the federal election interference conspiracy case against Trump: “You’re in our sights, we want to kill you,” the documents said. Special counsel Jack Smith has charged Trump with alleged crimes for obstructing the results of the 2020 election and also for his mishandling of classified documents. Trump also faces state charges in New York for alleged hush money payments.
This week, the former president was also indicted in Georgia for his alleged role, along with 18 co-defendants, in nullifying the state’s 2020 presidential election. Smith has called for the trial on the federal election interference charges to begin in July. Prosecutors allege Shry also told Chutkan in the message: “If Trump isn’t elected in 2024, we’re coming to kill you, so watch out, bitch.” She also threatened to kill U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat running for mayor of Houston, according to court documents. Plus, she set her sights on ‘all the Democrats in Washington D.C. and all people in the LGBTQ community’. You will be attacked personally, publicly, your family, everything,” she added. When questioned by DHS agents, Shry claimed that she had no plans to go to Washington, but she said that if Lee did go to Alvin, “then we have to worry.” Earlier this week, a judge ordered Shry jailed.

Abigail Jo Shry Arrested: Investigation Report
On Monday, she was held without bond and charged with communicating a threat to injure another person across state lines, according to WUSA. Shry has been indicted four times in the past year on similar charges and has been jailed 30 times. He was out on bail on a July 11 charge of misdemeanor threat causing fear of imminent grievous bodily harm when he threatened Chutkan. Court records show Shry is represented by the Houston public defender’s office, which did not immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday. Shry is scheduled to appear in a full bond hearing on September 13.
Trump has publicly attacked Chutkan, a former assistant public defender who was nominated for the position by President Barack Obama, calling her “very partisan” and “VERY BIASED AND UNFAIR!” due to earlier comments of hers in a separate case overseeing the sentencing of one of the defendants in the January 6, 2021 riot at the US Capitol. Chutkan, in a hearing on Friday, imposed a protective order in the case that limits the evidence turned over by prosecutors that the former president and his legal team can release publicly. She warned Trump’s lawyers that her defense must be mounted in the courtroom and “not on the Internet.” Chutkan also warned the former president’s lawyers that she could face a speedier trial if she continues to make “inflammatory” statements that could contaminate the jury. In a stern message, she said she would not allow the trial on allegations that he subverted the 2020 election to devolve into “a carnival atmosphere of unchecked publicity and judgment by the media.”
